The Heir (2020) short film
from the series Beirut 6:07

“The Heir” chronicles the surreal birth experience of George Khneiser, based on true events. His delivery is interrupted by the Beirut August 4 explosion, shaking his safe haven in the womb. But as a medical crew delivers him safely into his mother’s arms, he meets his terrified mother in an apocalyptic world, the world that he will inherit.

“The Heir” is part of the Anthology BEIRUT 6:07, a Shahid Original, and was created as a response to the August 4 Port Explosion in Beirut by several directors and artists from Lebanon. You can watch all the Beirut 6:07 short films on Shahid VIP and on other platforms.
